Deadly Outer Banks fire Three people, including a 13-year-old, have been identified as the victims of a deadly fire in Kill Devil Hills on Friday.

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. — Three people, including a 13-year-old, have been identified as the victims of a deadly fire in Kill Devil Hills on Friday.

Cienna Farr, 13, William Deeg, 68 and his wife, 64-year-old Colleen Cohan, died in the fire, officials told WTVD. Farr’s mother, sister, and her mother’s boyfriend were also injured.

As of Monday morning, Farr’s mother and her boyfriend were still in the hospital burn unit.

The family was on vacation from Maryland, WTVD reported.

Fire crews responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday and found a rental home in flames along the North Virginia Dare Trail.

Two properties beside the home were also damaged.

“The Town of Kill Devil Hills would like to thank everyone for their patience, support, and prayers as our community experienced a horrible tragedy today,” town officials said in a statement on Facebook. “Dealing with incidents such as this is never easy for our first responders, staff, or our citizens; however, it truly makes a difference when the community comes together to lift each other up during times like these. Please continue to keep everyone affected in your thoughts during this difficult period.”

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

This is an ongoing investigation.
