GASTONIA, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire at a Freightliner Truck plant Thursday morning in Gastonia.
Officials said they received a call just before 8 a.m. about a fire at the Daimler Trucks North America facility on Tulip Drive.

The Gastonia Fire Department told Channel 9's Ken Lemon the fire started during demolition of equipment, and the flames raced through the facility's roof.
Officials said employees were evacuated and there are no reported injuries.
