24 Hours of Booty returns with hopes of changing the course of cancer

CHARLOTTE — The 24 Hours of Booty, a fundraiser for the Levine Cancer Institute, is returning with hopes of changing the course of cancer.

The charity cycling and walking event is set to begin at 7 p.m. Friday and end at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Bootyville area opens at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The ride will start at the intersection of Wellesley and Queens Road West and will continue along the “Booty Loop” for 24 hours.

The walk starts on Friday from 7 p.m. until dusk and will resume on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Participants will walk in the opposite direction of the riders on a 1.5-mile stretch of the Booty Loop.

Funds raised from the event will be dedicated to cancer navigation and survivorship including Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children’s Hospital and Queens University of Charlotte.
