2020 Southern Christmas Show canceled because of pandemic

Southern Christmas Show

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It may be a little harder to get into the holiday spirit this year. The Southern Christmas Show, one of the longest-running and largest holiday shows in the Southeast, will not take place this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 53rd annual show was scheduled to be held Nov. 12-22 at The Park Expo and Conference Center.

The announcement was posted to the show’s Facebook page Friday.

In a follow-up post, organizers said they were planning an online event for this fall where “you will be able to snag some great holiday gifts for special prices.”

Last month, organizers of the annual Southern Women’s Show announced it would not be held this year in Charlotte because of the pandemic.
