ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are looking for the person who shot two teenagers in Rock Hill on Saturday night.

Officers were called to Starcrest Circle at 10:12 p.m. In a nearby backyard, they found two 16-year-olds who had been shot. One teen was shot in the lower leg while the other was shot in the arm.

The two are expected to recover from their injuries, police said.

The teens told police they were walking down the street when someone they didn’t know shot at them.

Neighbors told Channel 9′s Tina Terry the neighborhood is a quiet one full of seniors.

Will Hinton said he used to live in the neighborhood. He told Terry he’s alarmed by the violence.

“Nothing like that ever happened over here,” he said.

“Quiet neighborhood, most of the people now over here are retired, old,” he added.

He’s hoping detectives who walked through the neighborhood Monday can solve the case and bring peace to the neighborhood again.

“Yeah, yeah, we want to go back to being a nice neighborhood,” neighbor Shirley Walker said.

It’s unclear if the victims live in the neighborhood.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Rock Hill Police Department.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
