1 shot, another hurt at Dollar General in Wadesboro, police say

Multiple people were injured and two people were killed in a shooting Friday at a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas.

WADEBORO, N.C. — One person was shot and another was struck by flying glass at a Dollar General Wednesday afternoon, according to the Wadesboro Police Department.

It happened just before 4 p.m. on the 1300 block of East Caswell Street.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Initially, police said two people were shot. However, only one person was shot. The other victim had injuries from shattered glass, police said.

The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
