CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three of the four southbound lanes on I-85 near Charlotte are closed, causing a traffic backup, because of a crash Wednesday evening.
Emergency responders said two people were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The crash happened near Statesville Road (Exit 39), north of uptown Charlotte.
Officials expect the lanes to open just before midnight.
