HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville police said two people were taken to the hospital after officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call.
Police responded to the Asbury Chapel Road Monday afternoon after several reports of a shooting.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the area and saw police activity on Front Park Circle, which is not far from Asbury Chapel Road.
Police said one person was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound but is expected to be OK.
Officers are still trying to determine where the shooting happened and are investigating whether it involved two vehicles.
Police said no suspects are in custody.
