ROCK HILL, S.C. — Two juveniles were taken into custody Thursday morning after a chase reaching speeds of 115 mph ended in Rock Hill, authorities said.
According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, the pair was in a stolen car.
Chopper 9 SkyZoom flew over an apartment complex on Workman Street around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, which is where the chase ended. A car had apparently gone through a fence. Cars from the York County Sheriff’s Office and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were at the scene.
The chase began in Rock Hill on Baskin Road, which is off Dave Lyle Boulevard. The York County Sheriff’s Office said the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department had asked them to look for a possible stolen car in the area.

The teens led deputies on a chase that was mostly on Interstate 77, going into Charlotte at one point, but then ending in Rock Hill. The chase reached speeds of more than 110 to 115 mph, deputies said.
The York County Sheriff’s Office said two juveniles were taken into custody at the end.
“I was asleep when I heard all the commotion and when I came outside, they had already crashed into the fence, and they got out and they took them to jail,” said neighbor Marissa Gregory.
Gregory lives in a nearby apartment complex on South Workman Street. She knows the end of the chase could have turned out very differently.
“It looked like they put them sticks down, busted out them tires,” she said. “They crashed right there into our good fence.”
Channel 9 is looking into whether the juveniles will be charged.
