CONCORD, N.C. — Two people were hurt after an explosion at a Concord restaurant Monday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Nawabi Hyderabad House restaurant near Concord Mills on Lyles Lane NW, city officials said.
Crews who arrived on the scene said the explosion activated the restaurant’s sprinkler system but thankfully, there was no fire.
Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Photos of the damage inside the restaurant show holes in the ceiling and debris all over the dining room.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
