2 dead after single-car crash in Chester County, troopers say

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — Two people died after a single-car crash on U.S. Route 21 in Chester County on Saturday morning, troopers say.

Troopers said the accident happened around 5 a.m. near Riverview Circle.

A Lincoln Sedan was traveling south on U.S. 21 when it ran off the road to the left, hit a culvert, struck a utility pole, and then overturned.

The driver and passenger of the car died from their injuries.

No further information was released.
