CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were rear ended early Saturday morning while monitoring traffic near Charlotte.
The incident occurred just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday when the officers were controlling traffic for an accident on Interstate 85 near NC-27 in Mecklenburg County. The accident happened near the Brookshire.
No injuries to the officers were reported.
Medic did take three other people to the hospital following the crash.
It is not clear at this time if the driver who rear ended the patrol cars will face any charges.
