CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide after a 17-year-old died a day after being shot in northeast Charlotte.
Police said Calvin Washington showed up at a hospital in University City Wednesday afternoon. He died from his injuries on Thursday, officials said.

Officers believe the shooting happened on North Tryon Street near Rocky River Road West. No arrests have been made at this point.
