COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina is awarding $167 million in grants aimed at expanding access to healthcare in rural communities.
Gov. Henry McMaster says the state has awarded 228 grants to organizations across South Carolina.
The funding can be used for a variety of healthcare initiatives, including building new facilities, improving equipment, and hiring additional workers.
The grants are intended to help healthcare organizations expand and improve services for people living in rural areas.
