CHARLOTTE — A 14-year-old died at a hospital Saturday two weeks after he was in a crash involving a four-wheeler in north Charlotte, police said.

Amari Ford, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding the four-wheeler on private property on Stardust Drive near Oakdale Road.
Police said adults were supervising the teen when he drove onto a nearby property and the four-wheeler rolled over. Amari was ejected, and paramedics were called to the scene. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries at the time.
The investigation is ongoing.
