MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Fourteen Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools will not have full-time nurses when students go back to class Monday.
Channel 9 has asked for a list of those schools but is waiting to hear back.

Until the health department fills the schools in need of full-time nurses, part-time nurses will cover them.
In 2017, Channel 9 investigated a years-long nurse shortage in Mecklenburg County.
During that time, the health director told us the county was struggling to recruit school nurses and compete with area hospitals for those workers.
