A community health fair was hosted by the local group 100 Black Men of Charlotte on Saturday.
The event was held at the Greenville Center on Spring Street off Statesville Avenue and offered many different health-related services.
The open event allowed visitors to catch up on their flu or COVID vaccines, donate blood, and get various health screenings.
President of 100 Black Men of Charlotte, Aaron Means, said that this event allows them to encourage health and wellness throughout the Charlotte community.
“Every year we try to provide the community with a health and wellness fair so that we can communicate healthy habits to the community,” Means said.
Health and wellness are one of the four principles for the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte; the others are education, mentoring, and economic empowerment. Since 1991, the group has been involved in the Charlotte community.
