CHARLOTTE — One person was taken to a hospital after being shot Friday night in west Charlotte, MEDIC said.

The shooting happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ashley Road, which is close to Allegheny Street.
The shooting victim had life-threatening injuries.
No additional details have been made available.
