CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said an altercation between a group of people led to a shooting Friday afternoon at a northeast Charlotte shopping center.
The shooting happened around 4 p.m. at the Leslie Square shopping center on Harris Houston Road.
According to police, a group of 4 people got into an altercation outside the Tobacco and Vape store and someone opened fire.

Officials said one person was shot and taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police could be seen roping off the parking lot with crime scene tape and canvassing the area for clues.
