CHARLOTTE — One person has died after being shot in south Charlotte on Saturday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police say the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on Baltimore Avenue. At the scene, they found a male with a gunshot wound.
MEDIC took the victim to the hospital, where he died from his injuries early in the morning on Sunday.
Officials identified the victim as 30-year-old Maurice Moore.
Detectives say the investigation into the incident is open and ongoing.
