CHARLOTTE — One person is dead after an overnight crash on Interstate 85 in the University City area of northeast Charlotte, MEDIC said.
The crash on northbound I-85 near Interstate 485 happened just after 1 a.m. in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for about two and a half hours Thursday morning. The highway reopened after 3:30 a.m.
