CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Troopers said a woman was killed in a 3-vehicle wreck at about 6 p.m. Wednesday on the Interstate 485 outer loop between Interstate 77 and the East W.T. Harris Boulevard exit.
Investigators told Channel 9 that traffic was slowing down when two vehicles came to a stop. A driver in a Ford Explorer had his visor down and didn't see the stopped vehicles, crashing into them, authorities said.
That driver struck a Nissan, which then struck a Honda Civic. The woman driving the Nissan was killed, troopers said.
Names have not been released and no charges have been filed as of yet.
