IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — One person was killed in a crash Thursday morning in Iredell County and another person was rushed to a hospital, dispatchers said.
Authorities were called to the 500 block of Celeste Eufola Road where a car crashed into a tree.
From Chopper 9, it appears Celeste Eufola Road is shut down while authorities investigate the crash.
Katherine Owen, 26, of Statesville was in the right seat passenger seat and was killed on impact.
The driver, Donovan White, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. White was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
The passenger in the backseat was also taken to the hospital. That person’s condition is not known.
The crash is still under investigation.
