CONCORD, N.C. — Police are investigating after one person was killed and another was hurt in a shooting at a Concord sports bar early Saturday.
Concord officers responded just after 1 a.m. to Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill on Gateway Lane Northwest, off of Bruton Smith Boulevard, after reports of someone shooting a gun.

When they arrived, officers found one person who had been shot to death in the parking lot and another person nearby who had been shot and injured. The second person was taken to the hospital but police have not shared an update on their condition.
According to officials, an argument began inside the bar and ended up carrying over into the parking lot, where the shooting happened.
Concord police tweeted that they had a person in custody in connection to the shooting but no other information has been released.
Investigators said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
