MATTHEWS, N.C. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Matthews, MEDIC confirmed Monday evening.
It happened just after 8 p.m. near E. Charles Street and Crestdale Road. MEDIC said one victim was killed.
The victim hasn’t been identified yet.
A Channel 9 crew at the scene said the incident appeared to involve a Norfolk Southern freight train.
