MATTHEWS, N.C. — One person has died and another has been seriously hurt following a crash in Matthews Friday morning, according to MEDIC.
The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Monroe Road near Galleria Boulevard.
MEDIC said one victim died at the scene, while the other was taken to Atrium Health for treatment.
It is unclear what led up to this crash.
