1 injured after paraplane crashes in York County field, sheriff says

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — One person was injured Wednesday after their paraplane crashed in York County, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies assisted the Newport Fire Department when the “powered parachute” aircraft crash-landed in a field near Old York and Shiloh roads.

The person was taken to a hospital.
