1 hurt in early morning shooting in southeast Charlotte, MEDIC says

CHARLOTTE — One person was hurt in a overnight shooting along East Independence Boulevard in southeast Charlotte on Sunday.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. and one person was taken to the hospital, according to MEDIC.

The person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. It is unclear what led to the shooting.
