CHARLOTTE — A driver was taken to the hospital after a head-on crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in north Charlotte.
The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of Graham Street and Oneida Road.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools told Channel 9 that Bus 1110 was taking 18 students to Phillip O. Berry and Harding high schools when the bus collided with a car head-on.
According to MEDIC, no students were hurt, but the driver of the car was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Channel 9′s Anthony Kustura was at the scene when a backup bus arrived to pick up the students. A portion of Graham Street was closed as crews worked to tow the bus and clear the road.

It’s unclear what led to the crash, but officers are investigating.
