CHARLOTTE — One person is hurt after a shooting in the University Area, according to paramedics.
It happened at an apartment complex around 6:30 a.m. on Michelle Linnea Drive, which is near Mallard Creek Church Road. Paramedics said they transported a person with a gunshot wound to the hospital with serious injuries.
A Channel 9 crew at the scene could see police cruisers surrounding the complex.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. We are working to gather more information.
