HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — One person was flown to the hospital Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 77 in Huntersville, paramedics said.
The crash happed at about 2:30 a.m. on I-77 north, between Gilead Road and Stumptown Road.
MEDIC said the person who was hurt in the crash had injuries that were life-threatening.

A Channel 9 crew at the scene could see crews loading the car involved onto a truck.
The Huntersville Fire Department shared video of crews shutting down the interstate to land a helicopter in the middle of the road. They then loaded it with the patient and flew them to the hospital, according to paramedics.
Channel 9 has reached out for more information on what led up to the crash, and if anyone will be charged.
