Man found shot to death in local park

CHARLOTTE — A homicide investigation was centered around Progress Park in north Charlotte Friday night following a deadly shooting.

The shooting happened at about 7:45 p.m. on Parkwood Avenue.

The victim, later identified as 38-year-old Bryan Johnson, was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Family members told Channel 9 that the victim was a father of four.

No additional details have been made available.
