CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was arrested in Laurinburg, North Carolina, and charged in connection with a homicide, which happened last month at an east Charlotte apartment complex, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a news release Thursday night.
On Oct. 19, officers said Donald Myers, 57, was pronounced dead at the Heritage Park Apartments on Snow Lane, which is near the intersection of East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Albemarle Road.
Myers had been shot to death inside of an apartment.
Everette Larry Campbell, 19, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon after police and the North Carolina SBI found him in Laurinburg.
Campbell will be extradited to Mecklenburg County.
