Troopers said they responded before 10 p.m. to investigate a two-vehicle crash on South Carolina Highway 55 at Laurelwood Drive, about three miles west of of Clover.
Troopers believe the motorcycle, a 2021 Harley-Davidson, was headed west on Highway 55 when it crashed into a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was heading east and turning left onto Laurelwood Drive.
The driver of the motorcycle died while the Jeep’s driver was unhurt, troopers said. The motorcyclist was identified as 33-year-old Trever Wayne Ballard.
