RALEIGH, N.C. — A person is dead and two others are in the hospitald following an ambulance crash in Raleigh, according to WTVD.
The ambulance was heading towards Knightdale on Interstate 87 when it slid off the road and down an embankment.
WTVD said the patient, who was originally being transported to the hospital for cardiac arrest, died in the crash.

Two others were transported to the hospital. Their condition is not yet known.
It is not clear if icy road conditions played a role in the crash.
