CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Who's ready for football to be back in the Queen City? The Carolina Panthers have announced their 2019 preseason schedule.
The team will play the Chicago Bears, the Buffalo Bills, the reigning Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Panthers will open the preseason on the road against the Chicago Bears during the week of Aug. 8 to 12.
Next, the team will host the Buffalo Bills at the Bank of America Stadium sometime between Aug. 15 and 18 before traveling to play the New England Patriots during the week of Aug. 22 and 25.
They will close out preseason games with a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Aug. 29. This is the 17th consecutive season the Panthers will play the Steelers in the preseason finale, dating back to 2003.
2019 PRESEASON SCHEDULE:
- Week 1: Day (TBD), Aug. 8-12 at Chicago
- Week 2: Day (TBD), Aug. 15-19 against Buffalo
- Week 3: Day (TBD) Aug. 22-25 at New England
- Week 4: Thursday, Aug. 29 against Pittsburgh
The Panthers are 48-49 all-time in preseason games and have finished at least .500 in every preseason since 2012.
