CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Local food pantries have been busy making sure families have food on the table this Thanksgiving.
Loaves and Fishes has had such a demand, that it opened up a pop-up pantry Wednesday.

The organization passed out about 250 turkeys and food baskets in the parking lot of Statesville Avenue Presbyterian Church.
"It's a blessing," said one recipient.
