MARVIN, N.C. — Parents of students at Marvin Elementary School spotted a medical helicopter that landed on the school’s field Thursday afternoon.
The school says the helicopter didn’t land to pick up a student, however. Officials said the helicopter was called to transport a patient from the area.
“This situation did not involve anyone from our school,” Principal Dr. Scott Spencer wrote in a message, adding that all students and staff were safe.
No information was provided about the patient who was taken to the hospital.
