Former Charlotte football star now walking after breaking neck

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Channel 9 has been following the progress a former Charlotte football star is making after fracturing his neck and spine during practice.

Marquise Gaddy, who played for Mallard Creek High School, suffered the injury during a tackling drill in practice at Winston-Salem State University.

Gaddy isn't sure if he'll ever make it back on the football field but he's working as hard as he can, going through rehab every day.
