CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A former camp counselor is headed to prison.
Channel 9 was in court on Monday when Tristan Russell pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree sex offense.
Prosecutors said Russell took indecent liberties with a 10-year-old child he had been baby-sitting for several years.
Russell will spend between 13 and16 years in prison.
Russell was a counselor at Providence Day School's summer camp programs.
Investigators said the assaults did not happen at the school.
