SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury-based grocery store Food Lion announced it will be closing eight stores in February, including one in the Charlotte area.
The Food Lion on Park Street in Belmont will shut down because, the company said, it is underperforming.
The other stores are in South Carolina and Virginia.
Food Lion told Channel 9 that the employees at the Belmont store will be able to apply for open positions within the company.
