Fire Breaks Out At BJ's Wholesale Club

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — BJ's Wholesale Club on Independence Boulevard caught fire on Monday night.

Firefighters were called to the store shortly before 10 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the building. They got the fire under control a little before 10:30 p.m.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

BJ's announced last week that it will close the Independence Boulevard store on Jan. 17 because of poor sales.
