CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Students and community members are pushing to continue honoring those killed in the shooting at the University of North Carolina Charlotte Tuesday.
Money is being raised for a new scholarship fund in honor of Ellis "Reed" Parlier.
The fund said the scholarship will go to celebrate his life and interests.

"He was a vibrant, witty young man who will be remembered for his kindness, strong spirit, and being a caring son, brother, friend, and classmate," the fund site said.
As of Saturday night, 31 people have donated more than $2,700.
Reed was killed when an armed man opened fire on students at UNCC during the last day of classes, killing two people and wounding four others.
