Butler QB LeMay Appeals School Suspension

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Butler star quarterback Christian LeMay has appealed his suspension from the school for an undisclosed school system rules infraction allegedly committed toward the end of the spring semester.

As a result of the suspension, LeMay would be ineligible to play until at least early October and miss more than half of the team's season. LeMay is considered to be the one of the top quarterback prospect in the nation by several recruiting sites.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that if the appeal fails, LeMay could transfer from Butler to a private school to complete high school.

LeMay has been unable to practice with the team but has been working out on his own.

As a rising senior, LeMay has committed to play college football at Georgia and hopes to graduate high school early to enroll at Georgia in the spring of 2011.
