ASHEVILLE, N.C.,None — An autopsy report showed that the body of Misty Lynn Carter, 21, found along the Blue Ridge Parkway last fall, died of head injuries and had been set on fire after her death.
The report released Friday, showed that Carter suffered injuries to her head and to her body. The report also said Carter had been six weeks pregnant.
Carter's nude body was discovered Oct. 19, 2009 with a singed sheet wrapped around her head.
No arrests have been made in the case.
