WILMINGTON, N.C. — A 5-year-old girl has drowned while swimming in a hotel pool in Wilmington.
Wilmington Police Lt. Mary Green said the girl's relatives found her unconscious and floating in the pool at the hotel Friday night.
Emergency responders were unable to revive her.
Her name has not been released.
Green said police are still investigating. Green says the Department of Social Services had been notified. No charges have been filed.
