2 Killed In Concord Crash

CONCORD, N.C.,None — The North Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal accident in Concord where two people were killed.

Troopers told Eyewitness News there were three people in the car Saturday night when it hit a tree, rolled over before hitting another tree and splitting in two.

The crash happened on Zion Church Road at Highway 49 just before 7 p.m.

According to investigators, speed and alcohol were the main contributing factors in the crash.

The driver of the car Oscar Lopez Quiterio, 32, was at Carolina Medical Center.

Police said they charged Quiterio with DWI, reckless driving, driving without a operator's license and two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The two passengers, Otilio Chegues, 33, and Jorge Gonzalalez, 28, were killed in the crash.
