STATESVILLE, N.C. — Statesville police are re-opening a cold case murder from 23 years ago.
Two gunmen shot and killed Willie Allison and Michael Scott III at a well-known liquor house on Washington Street in 1992.
Dozens of people were there at the time but few talked to police. Officers told Channel 9's partners at The Record and Landmark it appeared people messed with evidence.
They didn't provide specifics about why they are re-opening the case now.
