Chocolate glazed doughnut returns to Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has listened to its fans and is bringing back the popular chocolate glazed doughnut. There’s just one catch: it will only be available on the first Friday of every month.

“We heard our fans loud and clear and they told us they want more chocolate glazed doughnut days,” said Alison Holder, head of U.S. marketing for Krispy Kreme.

The treat, a Krispy Kreme classic original glazed doughnut smothered in rich chocolate glaze, made its debut in 2017 for the solar eclipse then returned for a limited time this summer for World Chocolate Day.

Now chocolate lovers will be able to experience the glaze waterfall taken over by chocolate every month while the doughnuts are being made.

“They will be able to smell the sweet chocolatey aroma through the shop and get a taste of the mouth-watering chocolate glazed doughnut for themselves,“ Holder said.

Chocolate glazed doughnuts will be available on the first Friday of every month, while supplies last.
