NC’s biggest food festival, Taste of Charlotte, cancels 2020 event

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bad news, foodies and festivalgoers: Taste of Charlotte is canceled this year. The annual three-day festival had been postponed from June to September because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but on Monday, organizers announced the event would resume next year.

“We know many local and regional guests are disappointed that the 2020 festival cannot occur, but we are excited and look forward to the 2021 festival,” the post on the event’s Facebook page read.

The festival is now set to take place June 11-13, 2021, in uptown.

The event typically features more than 100 samples from area restaurants, family entertainment, live music, activities for kids and vendors.
